Some Favorites
Music: Well, i'm a classical girl, but i like everything except country and heavy metal. some favorite composers include prokofiev, debussy, and chopin. i don't really have a favorite group..it goes more by songs. so some of my often played songs at the moment include gasolina, check on it (beyonce), army (by ben folds), and all the songs from smokey joe's cafe (the musical).

Do you listen to Belle & Sebastian?: no. i don't really know much about them, i just found out about them really recently because my friend had the CD and i was thinking it had to do with something disney, lol.

Books: oh geez i have read so much but i don't have a favorite book. i just have never found that quintessential book. but i have liked most everything i read. i guess i could say agatha christie mysteries which i have read a gazillion of. right now i unfortunately don't have time to read much because of schoolwork and most books i read are for school.

Movies: star wars, sound of music, lord of the rings, amelie, harold lloyd movies,

So what the hell do you do with all that "spare time"?: i wish i had more spare time. true spare time is basically wasted on the computer or watching tv. basically the rest of my time is devoted to homework and music. i practice flute and piano a ton, i'm involved in our school musical which meets for about 3 hours 4-5x a week. i'm in a band and orchestra. plus my IB exams are coming up, eek!

Anything else you'd like to add: i finally just decided on oberlin today! i'm 98% sure i'm going here so i'm excited. actually someone else from my school is also going. umm.. i still have a few concerns, like i heard there is a lot of drug use which i'm not into, but i'm ok with that. i may be more "normal" than some i guess. i say that i have really liberal values but my lifestyle is not that liberal...i think...it depends on the definition. yeah i can talk about myself a lot if i need to, and i can't wait to meet everyone. i can't believe college is so soon!

We're the same in that respect! I'm cool with drug use, but not very into it myself. We'll have to form a we're-gonna-be-over-here-havin'-fun-while-you-all-smoke club. :P And while I'm one of the most liberal kids at my school, I'm not exactly your stereotypical hippy. But I figure they are just stereotypes, and Oberlin's a big enough school that there should people all kinds of people to hang out with!

I'll definitely be in that club, haha. Drug use doesn't offend me or really bother me much, but it's just never appealed to me. I'm also liberal but not at all a hippy, I think we'll be fine.
